Mrs. Louisa Brown, wife o William Brown, formerly of Stockwell, late of Dayton, died February 18, 1881, and was brought to Stockwell for funeral services and burial last Sunday, the 20th. The services were conducted by Rev. J. L. Boyd at 1 p.m., in an able and impressive manner, and the remains interred in the Cole Cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born August 8, 1838. She was a severe sufferer from affliction for over a year, and yet in confidence of Christian faith frequently found praying and praising God. Wishing relief from affliction she prayed for it, always closing with ‘not my will but thine be done.’ Calling her family around her bedside some time before her death, she gave all a mothers advice and dying blessing. This is the sixth of Mr Brown’s family buried in a few years in Stockwell.
