Funeral Hazel Burtlee Cooper Held Wednesday
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m. for Miss Hazel Burtlee Cooper, 15, who died early Sunday morning in the Electra Hospital, after a week's illness.
Rites were held from the Church of Christ with Rev. E. W. Key, pastor officiating. Internment was in the Electra cemetery under the direction of the James B. Totten Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Bob Gibbs, Fred Kent, W.D. Cross, S.T. Lowe, and Mike Baxter of Electra, and Leslie Spears of Wichita Falls.
A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.D. Cooper, she was born in Electra, and attended school here.
Surviving are the parents, three brothers, W.S. Cooper of Electra, H.A. Cooper of Houston, and A.D. Cooper, Jr. of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; and three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Church, of Los Angeles, Calif, and Mrs. Cleo Peavy of San Luis Obispo, Calif. and Mrs. Irene Howard of Pasadena, Calif.
