Rev. Zula Bee Ashley Young, a minister for many years with the Assemblies of God of Springfield, Missouri, was the daughter of John Williams and Emma Van Ashley, wife of the late Robert Newman and Rev. C.R. Young. She was preceded in death by parents, husband Robert Newman, son Harold Newman, daughter Bobbie Newman Thomas, brothers Rev. Earl Ashley, Otto Ashley and Rev. James Ashley, and sisters Myrtle Shamlin and Flora Sharp. She is survived by her husband Rev. C.R. Young of the home, Lois Leach of Oppello, grandchildren Larry and Darrel Thomas, Marsha Tharpe, a number of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends. The funeral was held October 7, 2009 at Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle, AR with Rev. John David Keeling officiating. Burial was in Brearley Cemetery.
