Rites Today
Funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday in Hawley Church of Christ for Mrs. Annie Mae Jennings, 62, longtime Anson resident who died Wednesday morning in Anson General Hospital.
Burial will be in Hawley Cemetery under direction of Elliott's Funeral Home. Nephews will be pallbearers.
She was born Sept. 5, 1905, in East Texas and married Floyd Jennings in Jones County in 1920. He died in 1947.
Mrs. Jennings was a member of Anson Church of Christ.
Survivors include six sons, Howard Lee of Kilgore, Buford E., who is on leave from Vietnam, Melvin W., who is stationed in Florida in the Navy, Clinton Eugene of Roby, Billy Joe of Abilene and Ray in the Navy; three daughters, Mrs. Doris M. Richardson of Fort Jackson, S. C., Mrs. Lula Mae New of Abilene, Mrs. Thelma New of Abilene; four brothers, Claude Ray Ausborn of California, Floyd and Chester Ausborn, both of Abilene, Earl Ausborn of Seminole; five sisters, Mrs. Jessie Johnson of McCaulley, Mrs. Lurlee Fowler of Abilene, Mrs. Lillie Martin of Abilene, Mrs. Ruby Castleman of Hobbs, N.M., Mrs. Viola Lang of Abilene; 30 grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
