Warren Coolidge Boyers, 79, of Bridgewater, died Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at his home.

Mr. Boyers was born March 12, 1924, and was a son of the late Otho D. and Ollie Lawson Boyers.

He was employed by W.A. Hartman Memorials and worked at the Harrisonburg Auto Auction. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Mount Clinton Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 9872. He attended the Valley Temple Church in Harrisonburg.

On Dec. 24, 1946, he married Ruby L. Shifflett, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Betty Baldwin of Brandywine, W.Va., and Jo Ann Shull and Linda Boyers, both of Bridgewater; two sons Warren C. "Bub" Boyers Jr. of Mount Solon, and Otho "Sonny" Boyers of Harrisonburg; four sisters, Agnes Smith and Maxine Thomas, both of Harrisonburg, Mildred Davis of Lacey Spring, and Janet Blosser of Pennsylvania; and a grandson who was raised in the home, Billy "Binky" Boyers of Harrisonburg. Ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

The Revs. Arnold D. Repass and Randall C. Shull will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Friday at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
