George Waldo BAILEY was born in Howard Township, Cass County, Michigan to Byron S BAILEY and Susan Ann KNAPP on September 20, 1866. He was never married. With the exception of a very short time in a medical care facility, he lived in the home on Yankee Street (across the road from where he was born) from 1893-1952. He farmed and shared the home with his mother, Susan, and his sister, Laura, and her husband, Joseph Gilbert. He died on October 19, 1952 at the age of 86 years. He was buried on October 22, 1952 in Barron Lake Cemetery, Cass County, Michigan.
