Orein was the husband of Minnie Dorothy (Little) Stiffler

He was the son of Philip Stiffler and Rebecca (Engle) Stiffler

His parent were Phillip H. Stiffler b. 12 Dec. 1847 and Rebecca Engle b. 11 april 1851. He married to Minnie Dorothy Little b. 8 april 1874 Married on 9 July 1896 in Indian, Indiana Co., PA 1896
The marriage of Mr. Orin Stiffler of Butler, and Miss Minnie D. Little, of Chambersville, was
solemnized in Indiana on last Thursday, July 9. The ceremony was performed by 'squire G. A. Kellar,
at the West Indiana House.

Well-KnownResident Succumbs to Coronary Thrombosis As He Works onNew Water Line Interested in his work, the first regular employment he had received in some time, Oren Norman Stiffler, the former glassworker, Indiana policeman and street railway employee, wuts stricken with a comnary
thrombosis, while digging ditch for the new pipeline of the Clymer Water Service Company. His death occurred as 12:50 p.m. Monday. Mr. Stiffler had complained of feeling ill in the morning, but had revived nicely during the lunch hour and was attacking his aftemoon's work vigorously
when stricken fatally.
Coroner John Woods was suilrmoned and after making an inspection, decided that an inquest would not be necessary.
The deceased was a son of Philip and Rebecca (Engle) Stiffler and was born in Cherry Tree July 25,1874. He had been resident in Indiana for the past 40 years and held the affection and esteem of many friends and associates. He spent 15 years with the Indiana Sfieet Railway Company
as master mechanic, 12 years with Diamond Glassware Company as night foreman and tlree years as a Borough policeman.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Minnie (Little) Stiffler; three sons: Elmer Stiffier of Sharpsburg, and Floyd and Nomran Stimer, both of Indiana; five dauglrters: Mrs. Rebecca Hilty and Mrs. Edith Harmoru both of Indiana, Mrs. Mabel Byme of Emest, and Miss Vernie and Miss Ella
Stiffler, both at home, and three brothers: Ellis Stiffler of Heilwood, Charles Stiffler of Commodore and Alden Stiffler of Keno, Ore.
The deceased was a member ofthe First Regular Baptist church, the pastor ofwhich, tle Rev. J. W. Kennedy, will conduct services in the family home, 1080 School street, at 2:30 p. m. Thursday.
