Earl Ostrander, the son of William and Ida Badker Ostrander, was born Sept. 11, 1893 in Woden. March 19, 1915, he was married to Anna Myhr at Thompson.
Ostrander farmed in the Buffalo Center and Thompson areas. Ostrander was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 570 and Rainbow Chapter Order of Eastern Star. He was one of the founders of the Timely Mission Nursing home in Buffalo Center and a former president of the county Farm Bureau.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Wallace (Dorothy) Swanson of Buffalo Center; three sons, Les and Grant Ostrander of Buffalo Center and Raymond Ostrander of Fountain Valley, Calif.; 18 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Granvow of Bremerton, Wash.; and a brother, Robert Ostrander of Forest City.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1982; his parents; a son; three sisters; and a brother.
