Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Crestwood Memorial Chapel for Virginia Morgan, 91, Gadsden, who died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010. Bro. Leon Hare will officiate. Burial will be in Crestwood Cemetery, Crestwood Memorial Funeral Home will direct services.
Mrs. Morgan was a member of South 11th Street Baptist Church. She was active with local senior citizens' clubs. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dock and Lear Baswell; brothers, Chesley Baswell and LeRoy Baswell; and sisters, Bessie Self, Audrey Nolen and Christine Murphree.
She is survived by her husband of 73 years, Jack Morgan, Sr., son Jack Morgan, Jr. (Judy); daughter, Evelyn Unger; grandson, Barry Morgan; granddaughters, Felicia (Jess) Taylor and Twyla Snyder; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Lois Mize; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the hour of service Monday at the funeral home.
