Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Christine Murphree, Bessemer, formerly of Gadsden, who died Tuesday, September 15, 1998. Burial in Rainbow Memorial Park Cemetery. Collier-Butler is in charge.
Mrs. Murphree was a resident of Gadsden for approximately 40 years, of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady Murphree.
She is survived by sons, Fred (Wilma) Guy, Helena, Frank Guy, Birmingham, Lonnie Ray Guy, Helena; daughters, Virginia White, Bessemer, Linda White, Grapevine, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters Audrey Nolen, Springville, Lois Mize, Pell City, Virginia Morgan, Gadsden; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs Murphree will remain at the funeral home through the hour of service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.
