Alfreda Wasmuth, 93, a resident of Broen Memorial Home, died Tuesday, Sept 29, at the home.
She was born Feb. 27, 1899, in Wilkin County, the daughter of John and Mary (Steiner) Wasmuth. She was baptized at Evangelical Ebenezer Methodist Church. She attended rural School District 57 through eighth grade. She attended State Teachers College for two years and taught rural school in Wilkin County. She moved to Fergus Falls as a young woman and worked as a sales clerk at Norby's and Madsen's stores.
In 1982, she became a resident of Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.
She was a member of Church of Peace.
Survivors include two sisters, Esther Johnson of Fergus Falls and Alma Johnson of West Fargo; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation: At the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to the service at the church
Service: 2 p.m. Friday at Church of Peace United Methodist, Fergus Falls
Officiating: The Revs. Jacob Neufeld and Harland Helland
Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fergus Falls
