Medina County Gazette-January 11, 1894: the interment of Jacob H. Welcher, a former old resident of Spencer, who died in Michigan, took place here Tuesday. He was formerly identified with the various public interests of this place; having been always an active Christian and an ardent politician he served the county as a county commissioner. His wife died some years ago and his large families have all removed from this vicinity. Four were present at his burial. Mrs. Dr. Snyder, Lagrange; Wilson, Jackson, Michigan; and Mrs. Baker, Pittsford. Rev. McConnell officiated at the grave.
