Duncan: Elder H.O. "Red" Ballard, 82, passed away Monday, November 22, 2010 in Duncan, OK.

Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home, with Elder Terry Patton, Ph.D officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Creek Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow, OK.

H.O. was born Sunday, December 18, 1927 in Mountain Park, OK, to Henry Oliver Ballard and Hattie Pearl (Tucker) Ballard. H.O. attended and graduated from Mountain Park Public Schools. He married Alma Cook February 24, 1950 in Mountain Park. He worked as a machinist at Halliburton for 23 years and was a gospel minister at area Primitive Baptist churches for 47 years, retiring in 2007. H.O. lived for 60 years with his wife in Duncan. He enjoyed fishing and following his favorite sports teams. The only thing he loved more than fishing was being a minister of the gospel. He was a member of Odell Primitive Baptist Church in Odell, TX.

Survivors include:
wife, Alma Ballard of the home;
son, Pagon Ballard and wife Kathy of Duncan;
three daughters, Aletha Hudson and husband Brad of Duncan,
Rebecca Elam and husband Gerald of Bray,
Regina Mengers and husband Cliff of Wilburton
seven grandchildren, Billie Jo (Hudson) Powers and husband Lamar,
Scotty Hudson and wife Jessica,
Sarah (Ballard) Vazquez and husband Robert,
Diane (Ballard) Boss and husband Howard,
Geralyn (Elam) Epstein and husband David,
Katrina (Elam) Hasanoglu and husband Nezih,
Cheyenne Mengers and wife Miranda;
5 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way;
numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
