Gus DeLoach, 91, one of Bulloch County's oldest citizens, died unexpectedly at the residence last Wednesday morning.

Funeral services were held last Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Red Hill Primitive Baptist Church, Elder Harris Cribbs and Rev. J. W. Grooms officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie DeLoach, Statesboro; five daughters, Mrs. Ruby Holllingsworth, Pembroke; Mrs. Bessie Danley, Register; Mrs. C. F. Burnsed, Savannah; Mrs. N.A. Goff, Plymouth, Fla., and U.V. Grindle, Paris, France; four sons, Russell and E. W. DeLoach, Brooklet; C. Brooks DeLoach, Ellabelle; W. C. DeLoach, Savannah; one brother, Charles DeLoach, Pembroke; one sister, Mrs. Alice Nesmith, Statesboro; 33 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Smith-Tillman Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
