Married Mary Jane Simpson on 08 Feb 1858 in Miller Co., Missouri. After Mary's death he next married Julia Ann Norfleet on 18 Jan 1874 in Miller Co., Missouri.

Julia was first married to Jasper's brother Noland D. Henley who died in 1870.

Sedalia Democrat Friday, October 17, 1913, Sedalia, MO

"Uncle" Jasper Henley, 88 years old, died Wednesday at his home, near Hickory Hill, Cole County, Mo. He was the youngest of three brothers, John and William, respectively, 96 and 92 years old, live in the same neighborhood.

John, at the age of 94, made the trip from his farm to Jefferson City and return on horseback, a distance for the round trip of forty eight miles.
