Humphrey married first Emily or Amelia Eubanks. By her he had the following children:

Elizabeth who married Samuel Bradford and John Thomas
Giles who married Rhoda Thurman and Sara Adams
Eleanor C who married Welcome Crain
Susan who married John Harvie Marks
Mary who married Spencer Crain
Amelia who married George Crain
Nancy who married Luke Williams
Polly who married Thomas Pinkard (Pinckard)
and a son whom he referred to in his will as "my supposed son Simon Littleton"


Humphrey did not marry Susannah Bridges until after her husband Thomas Bridges died in 1790. In her will she leaves everything to her Bridges children, with no mention of any Tompkins heirs. Humphrey and Susannah were divorced in 1803. (State of Georgia House Bill 19, found in Book 154, page 63.)
