Son of Amos Boorn and DeLaney "Lana" (Dailey) Boorn; husband of Deborah (Butler) Boorn

In 1854, he was married to Miss Deborah H. Butler of Butlers Corners, in the Town of Roseboom. His parents both died in the same year, and since he was the eldest child, he and his wife at once assumed the care of the orphaned brothers and sisters, with the same care and devotion as if they were their own. George and Deborah had two children of their own, Elmer D. and Edward J. They also adopted a daughter, Carrie Brockway.
