He was born in Cainsville, Mo., Oct. 31, 1908, the son of Earl and Lulu Oiiphant. He moved with his parents to the Foxhome area in 1916. On Jan. 25, 1941, he married Lucille Johnson at the Breckenridge Methodist Church. Since then they lived in the Foxhome vicinity where he was in the trucking business.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (La Vonne) Lemke and Mrs. William (La Faye) Thompson, both of Erhard; two granddaughters; two brothers, Blain, Foxhome and Garland, Campbell; two sisters, Mrs. Ray (Maudie) Anderson, Lake Park and Mrs. Arnold (Kadie) Evenson, Underwood.
