Lived in Canton, PA.in a stone house going south towards Williamsport, PA. He served in World War II. He is buried at the M.E. Church Cemetery, Overton, PA. Glen was a student at Warburton Hill School, Forks Township, Sullivan County, PA. in the years 1915, 1918, and 1919. Bernard J. Schaffer was the teacher in 1915, Joseph A. Marshall in 1918, and Blanche K. Kester in 1919. This school information was given to me by Victor Vough, who obtained it from his aunt. Source: Obituary of Glen S. He was born July 8, 1907 in Forks Township, Sullivan County, PA., the son of Samuel and Elizabeth Carner Hunsinger. In October 1930 he married the former Opal Vough. Mr. Hunsinger served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He is a retired assistant supervisor of highways for PennDot. Mr. Hunsinger was a member of the Canton Ecumenical Parish. He was also a member of Canton Lodge No. 415 F & AM; Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Bodies of the Towanda Valley and Williamsport Consistory; Irem Temple in Wilkes-Barre; Bradford County Shrine Club; Canton Moose Lodge No. 429; Brooks-Flick American Legion Post 49; Wheel - Inn Inc. of Roaring Branch; Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Benson (Mildred) Bahl of Sayre; a brother Howard Hunsinger of Athens; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Hunsinger was preceded in death by his wife in 1981. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Morse & Kleese Funeral Home, 40 N. Center St., Canton. Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Barner officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed Church Cemetery, Overton, PA.
