Mrs. Martin was born November 4, 1884, at Osceola, Ark., the daughter of John O. and Nancy Hale Blackwood, and was active in political affairs in Mississippi County until going to Kennett to live in 1933.
She was married to the late Herman Hardin and they had two children, Herman Hardin who was killed in 1926 in an auto accident and Mrs. McHaney. She later married George Martin, who also proceeded her in death.
She was a member of the Kennett Presbyterian church and funeral services were held there Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev. Ernest Crawford, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
