Born January 6, 1919, in Charleston, SC, he was a son of Dr. John Christopher Wieters and Emilie Lucille Davis Wieters.
Mr. Wieters was predeceased by his wife Mary Heins Wieters, son Wade and daughter Eleanor. He is survived by his daughter Zenobia and (Ron) of Athens GA, son Charles (Sherri) of Austin TX, daughter-in-law, Mary Coker Wieters of Abbeville, SC, as well as five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Interment was in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Franklin.
