For many years Edith was a local correspondent for the York County Coast Star, writing special interest stories. On Oct. 20, 2000, she and her husband Robert celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. They had lived in their home, the Thomas Hobbs Jr. Hostelry for 60 years. She had a great love for her family and community.
She is predeceased by her sister, Ella Chadbourne.
Surviving are her husband Robert; sons Spencer of Wells, Blaine of Nashville, TN; daughter Andrea (Mrs. Walter Lovell) of Somersworth, NH; brother Cecil Chadbourne of Sanford, ME.
