Mary Alice Jones was born at Sparta, Kentucky, December 5, 1872, died at the home of her daughter, near Seymour, September 19, 1918, aged 45 years, 9 mos. and 14 days. She removed to Illinois about twenty years ago and in February 1897, she was united in marriage to John McCullam at Danville, Illinois. To this union three children were born, John who died at about the age of four years, Hazel and Cyrus residing with the mother. Surviving her are also a daughter, by a former marriage, Mrs. Harry Tracy, at whose home her death occurred, a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Hetro, of Ogden, two step-sons, Wm. D. McCullam, of Ogden and James McCullam of Hedrick, Indiana. She united with the Christian Church of Ogden in 1908 and has since held membership there. Mrs. McCullam for several years conducted the Ogden house until ill health compelled her to discontinue it. She was a member of both the Ben Hur and Court of Honor Lodges.
