She was born February 23, 1929 at Ingalls, the daughter of Edward L. and Teresa Webber Irsik. She moved to Dodge City in 1943 from Ingalls and had been a resident at Hill Top House in Bucklin for the past 2 years. She was a longtime cook at the Ford County Jail, worked as a clerk at Gibsons, was an ambassador for the Vision Center at Wal-Mart and was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and VFW Women's Auxiliary both in Dodge City.
On September 24, 1946, she married Richard A. Wolfe at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Dodge City. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1995.
Survivors include: 3 sons, Robert Lee Wolfe and wife Phyllis, Dodge City, Richard "Dick" Wolfe, Jr. and wife Susan, Windsor, Colorado and Tim Wolfe, Dodge City; a daughter, Diane Miller and husband Melvin, Dodge City; a brother, Eugene Irsik and wife Sharon, Kearney, Missouri; 10 grandchildren, Robert Miller, Darren Miller, Robyn Roberts, Robert D. Wolfe, Trevor Wolfe, Kayla Wolfe, Michael Wolfe, Tiffany Carr, Haley Uphaus and Lisa Israel; 9 great grandchildren, Mariah Miller, Tyler Roberts, Jordan Roberts, Clinton Miller, Rylie Miller, Caitlyn Miller, Adam Carr, Katie Uphaus and Loren Uphaus; and 1 great great grandson, Brevyn Michael Burnau.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Edward Irsik, Raymond Irsik and Leo Irsik; 4 sisters, Ruth Temaat, Marie Howe, Norene Huslig and Betty Holtfrerich; a grandson, Jason Thomas Wolfe and a daughter-in-law, Julie Wolfe.
Vigil Service will be 7:00 pm Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am Monday at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City, with Fr. Ted A. Skalsky presiding. Friends may call from Noon to 7:00 pm Sunday at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City.
