Betty Jane Holtfrerich,53 died at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born at Ingalls to Edward L. and Theresa Weber Irsik. Her family moved to Dodge City when she was a child. She attended Dodge City Catholic schools and graduated from St.Mary High School. After graduating she worked for Stanley Feed Yard for 12 years.

She started nurses training and received her LPN in Aug.1989 and her RN in 1990. She worked at Humana Hospital from 1989 to 1991. During 1990 and 1991 she also worked part-time for Southwest Home Care and from 1994 to 1995 she worked weekends at Western Plains Regional Hospital in the Rehabilitation Department.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral and Kansas State Home Care Association.

On June 3,1961, she married Gordon N. Holtfrerich at Dodge City. He survives with a son, Larry of Overland Park,Ks and daughter, Sheri Holtfrerich of Dodge City,Ks; four brothers, Edward Irsik,jr of Colorado,Springs,Colo, Lee Irsik of Wichita and Eugene Irsik of Kearney,Mo and Raymond of Hotchkiss,Colo; four sisters, Pauline Wolfe,Ruth Temaat, Marie Howe and Norene Huslig and three grandsons.
