He married Rita Patricia Glenn on Nov. 1947 in New Castle, In. They had the following children:Rebecca Kay (Becky) Young Behensky, Ernie Joe Young and Dewey Dewayne Young, Dewayne was born 4 months after his Dad passed away.
Dewey was killed in an explosion at work at the Union Camp Paper and Box Co.on Palmer Ave. in Chicago, Il.
I was only seven years old when Dewey died so I don't have too many memories of him, he was a married man living in another state when I was born. At the time of his death we did live in the same building and I remember going to his apartment and he would play in the floor with his kids and all the other kids that showed up. I was an aunt 7 times by the time I was 5 years old so there was always a bunch of us. Dewey loved coca cola and peanuts, there was always a glass quart bottle of coke with peanuts in the bottom of it sitting nearby.
