Services for Eva M. Apling of Amity will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Mount Scott Funeral Home in Portland, followed by interment in the Multnomah Park Cemetery, Portland.

Mrs. Apling died Nov. 30, 1988, in her home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1896, in Knoxville, Tenn., the daughter of John and Eliza Bowman Nelson. She was raised and educated in Knoxville.

She married Irving D. Apling on Aug. 5, 1919. He died in 1953.

They moved to Portland in the early 1920s. Mrs. Apling moved to Amity in 1986.

She is survived by six daughters, Barbara Rowland of Amity, Ruth Harmon of Oregon City, Henrietta Brewer of Springfield, Dorothy Gurien of Langlois and Betty Henry and Pat Cominzind, both of Forest Grove; two sons, Kenneth Apling of Blachly and Henry Apling of Dallas; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Services are being arranged by Macy & Son Funeral Directors of McMinnville. Mount Scott Funeral Home is located at 4205 S.E. 59th St.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irving Apling, and a son Robert Vauclair.
