Lucine Shiflett, 85, of Rogers, AR, died Sunday, September 26, 2010 at Innisfree Nursing Home in Rogers. The daughter of Marvin and Nora Kinslow Barton, she was born March 11, 1925. She was a seamstress. She was a member of the Martin Chapel Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching and cooking pies. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Donald Barton and her sister, Aileen Boggs.
Loved ones who keep the memory of her close to their heart include her two daughters, Lucy Jones of Rogers, AR and Linda Carter of Arizona; her son, Herman Carter Jr.; her grandson, Tim Jones of Fayetteville, AR; her brother, Ellis Barton & wife Floy of Wichita, KS; her sister, Drucella Hays & husband Joe of Appleton, AR; her sister-in-law, Jane Barton of Hector, AR and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, September 30, 2010 at Humphrey Chapel. Claude Jackson will officiate. At the request of the family, a private burial will take place after the service. Memorials may be made to The American Heart Association, 909 West Second Street, Little Rock, AR 72203.
