Obituary of John Pensinger Jr.
John Pensinger Jr. 76, of 582 Loudon Road, St. Thomas, died at 11:20 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Sept. 19, 1923, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late John and Reba Poe Pensinger.
Mr. Pensinger retired in 1986 from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, after 28 years of service.
A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 842 and Charles M. Nitterhouse Post 1599 Veterans of Foreign Wars, both of Chambersburg, and Detrich-Brechbill Post 612 American Legion, St. Thomas.
Surviving are his wife, Rose M. Fisckio Pensinger, whom he married Dec. 19, 1947; two sons, Gerald L. (husband of Mona) of Shippensburg and Donald R. (husband of Rhonda) of Antioch, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
Burial will be Wednesday in St. Thomas Cemetery, with military graveside services.
