Anna Mae Flippin, daughter of the late Charley and Damie Whitehead Walker, was born in Ripley County on March 23, 1929, and died at the St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at the age of 81.

She had lived in Dudley before moving to Chesterfield in 2005. She was of the Baptist faith.

On Sept. 30, 1945, she was married to Hugh Flippin in Dudley. He preceded her in death on May 25, 2010.

Surviving are one son, Tom Flippin of Bloomfield; one daughter, Shirley Bohman of Chesterfield; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles Walker of Dexter. Other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, Edith Downey, Bill Walker, Norman Walker, Nora Keesee, Lela Walker, Lillie Boyle, Alvie Walker and two in infancy, Esther and Chester Walker.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov.17, 2010, after 10 a.m. at Watkins & Sons Funeral Service in Dexter.

Services will be held Wednesday, Nov.17, 2010, at 2 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter with the Rev. Dwight Hensley of Bloomfield officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethany Cemetery near Campbell with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter in charge of arrangements.
