Billy Joe Walker, 70, of Neelyville, Mo., died Wednesday, April 24, 2002, in Rockford, Ill.

Born July 1, 1931, in Naylor, Mo., son of the late Charles Edward and Damie Whitehead Walker, he was U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Jed Walker, of Aurora, Ill. and Brent Walker, of St. Charles, Mich.; two daughters, Tonya Haas and husband, John, of Rockford, Ill. and Jody Walker, of Frisco, Texas; Seven grandchildren, Krista, Jessica and Erica Walker, all of Chicago, Ill., Ginger and Christopher Haas, both of Rockford and Alison and Garrett Walker, both of St. Charles; two sisters, Anna May Flippin and husband, Hugh, of Dudley, Mo. and Nora Keesee, of Malden, Mo. and one brother, Charles Walker and wife, Jessima Walker, of Dexter, Mo.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Downey, Lillie Boyle and Lela Adams and two brothers, Alvie and Norman Walker.
