Frankie W. Thompson, 83, of Brunswick, Ohio, formerly of Eunice, Fairplain and Dawes, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, at Strongsville, Ohio. She had resided in Ohio for the past seven years. She was born Aug. 28, 1919, in Boone County and was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Ida Mae Bailey Halstead. She was a homemaker and a member of Fairplain Union Church. She loved to quilt, sing at church and make apple butter. She was a loving mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Dennis Thompson; a son, Charles Russell Thompson; and daughters, Effie Brenneman and Shirley Jewel Thompson. She is survived by daughters, Yvonne Jean Dentz of Brunswick, Ohio, Wilda Mae Crawford of Ashland, Ohio, and Joyce Aliene (Basil) Stavrakis of Whitesville; a son, Gary Wayne Thompson of Ashland, Ohio; a sister, Glenna Powers of Fort Myers, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
