Lillie Hatcher Armstrong

Mrs. Lillie Hatcher Armstrong, 80, retired Vaiden school teacher, died Friday morning, Sept. 30, 1988, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital. She served in education in Carroll County for 38 years.

She was a member of Blackmonton Church and was a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Boyd H. Hooker of Edwards and Mrs. Mattie McEachern of Vaiden.
Funeral services were conducted from Lee Funeral Home chapel at 10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 1. The Rev. Al Mersman preached. Interment was in Midway Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Wade Melton, Bob McEachern, Bernard Hooker, Lamar Hooker, William C. Hatcher and John Turberville. Lee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
