MULLINS - Mrs. Evelyn Brown Fox, 84 widow of Harold Alexander Fox, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Marion Regional Hospital after an illness.

Mrs. Fox, a loving mother and grandmother, was born March 21, 1926 in Marion County, a daughter of the late John French Brown Sr. and the late Florence Smith Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Fox are a daughter, Rosa Fox of Mullins; two step-daughters: Linda (Larry) West and Patsy Fox, both of Morganton, N.C.; 5 grandsons: Lacey E. Johnson, Jr., Steve Johnson, Matt Johnson, Alex (Becky) Johnson and Elvis Johnson; 7 step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren;a son-in-law: Lacey E. Johnson, Sr. of Marion; and 4 sisters, Janette Rogers of Mullins, Loretta Joye of Marion, Mattie Lou (Ethell) Stroud of Mullins and Flora Jean (William) Jackson of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Fox was predeceased by a daughter, Diana Fox Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 P.M. Tuesday, November 16 at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Little Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
