Mary Gilles - Chilton Times - January 21, 1960. Mrs. Mary Gilles, Stockbridge, died Saturday morning at Calumet Memorial Hospital following a 2-month illness. She was 81. Mrs. Gilles was born at Lomira on July 8, 1878 the daughter of Mathew and Barbara Propson. She was married to John Gilles June 16, 1904 at St. Elizabeth's Church, Kloten. The deceased was a member of the Christian Mothers Society at St. Mary's Church, Stockbridge. She is survived by three sons, Gregory, Hayton, Norbert, Stockbridge, and Arthur of Resada, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Theodore Meyer, Stockbridge, and Mrs. Orville Huck, Taycheedah; 18 grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; four brothers, Albert, Newton, Mathew, Fond du Lac, August and Joseph, Chilton; and one sister, Mrs. Jacob Veit, Chilton. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's by Rev. William Willinger, pastor. Burial was in the church cemetery.
