Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Providence Baptist Church for C. Leon Boone, 81, of Providence community, who died Jan. 2, 2008, at his residence.
Burial will be in Providence Cemetery.
Mr. Boone was a retired chemist with International Paper Co. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Chellie H. Woods Boone of Providence; three stepsons, James Woods Jr. of Picayune and Sammy Woods and Keith Woods, both of Hattiesburg; four daughters, Martha Fagan of Ocean Springs, Marsha Deena Blackmon of Picayune and Sue Miller and Patricia Boone, both of Collins; two stepdaughters, Carolyn W. Bryant of Ellisville and Joyce Williamson of Petal; a sister, Mattie Jay Lyons of Wiggins; and two brothers, the Rev. Emmett Boone and Travis Boone, both of Hattiesburg; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
