OBITUARY
Services are held February 13, for Arkinda resident:
Mrs. Polly Ann Whisenhunt aged 88, resident of Arkinda, died at 7:10 a.m. Monday, February 11, in DeQueen General Hospital. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. in Winthrop Baptist church, with Rev. Nolan Rucker officiating. Burial was in Campground cemetery under the direction of of Wilkerson Funeral Home.
A native of Alabama, she was born Sept. 18, 1885, had lived in Little River country for serveral years and was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include four sons, Eugene Whisenhunt, Dallas; Seth and Elmer Whisenhunt, Arkinda and Melvin Whisenhunt, Foreman; five daughters, Mrs. Addie Beadley, Texarkana; Mrs. Lula Smith, Ruby Langley, Mrs. Pearlie Weems and Jewell Whisenhunt all of Arkinda; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
