Mrs. Callie Wakefield
Mrs. Callie Wakefield, aged 78 of Nashville, died Sunday, February 8th, at a local nursing home.
She was born November 29, 1891 in Texas.
She was a resident of Howard County approximately 50 years before moving to Lewisville, Texas, where she made her home about 10 years. She returned from Lewisville to Howard County about 18 months ago. She was a member of the Lewisville Missionary Baptist Church.
The survivors include the husband, James H. Wakefield of Nashville; five sons, Henry Ollie Wakefield, of Lafayette, Louisians, William C. Wakefield of Dallas, Texas, Vaughn Wakefield of Nashville, James F. Wakefield and Reeder Wakefield, both of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Mrs. Frank Stewart, Mrs. Harry McAtee and Mrs. Ruby Bessellieu, all of Dallas, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Polly Whisenhunt of Foreman, Arkansas: 18 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Latimer Funeral Chapel here with Rev. C. A. Smithson officiating. Burial will be in the County Line Cemetery under the direction of the Latimer Funeral Service. (Nashvill News paper)
