Charles was the son of Thomas II & Rebecca Miles. He married Margaret Nichols & they had 7 children. Charles was a private in the Virginia Regiment of Captain James Quarles & Captain William Long. He fought a Valley Forge & in the Battle fo Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered.
