Alfred Michael Decker, 71, of the 1100 block of Larchmont Crescent, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2004 in his residence.
Mr. Decker was a native and life long resident of Norfolk. He was the son of the late Ellis and Celiney Alexander Decker and was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Catherine Decker; brothers, George, Charles and Frank; and his sisters, Louise Miller, Marguerite Nichols and Lillian Cornett.
Mr. Decker was the retired owner of Decker Service Station on Hampton Blvd., after 39 years. He was a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High School and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley M. Decker; his daughters, Diane Decker Jones and her husband David of Norfolk and Darlene Frances Decker of Chesapeake; one son, Alfred M. Decker Jr., his brothers, Melvin Decker and his wife Sarah of Norfolk and Robert Decker and his wife Shelby of Purcellville, Va.; his grandchildren, Megan C. Jones of Norfolk and Brooke R. Painter of Chesapeake; 27 nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives.
A funeral Mass will be held in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Tuesday at 1 p.m. with burial in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery. Father Joseph H. Metzger III will officiate.
The family will receive friends in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk chapel, today from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
