Obituary from the "Northern Light" of Williams, Minnesota dated 2 Jul 2010:
Anne Olson Grazin Anderson was born Aug 17, 1905 in Cass Lake, MN where her parents, Andrew and Brita Olson, settled when they immigated from Sweden. Later, the family moved to the Border area where they homesteaded. Anne became a teacher and taught at rural schools around the Kelliher and Waskish area until she married Andrew Grazin in 1933 and moved to Birchdale where they farmed. They later opened a store in Border, which they operated until 1944, when they moved to Williams where Andy was a logger and businessman and Anne taught elementary school.
They had one son, Eldon Ramon Grazin. Andy passed away in 1952. Anne married Herman Anderson in Dec. 1956, and they lived in Williams and Norris Camp. They retired in 1971 and moved to Turtle River and later to Bemidji, where they resided until Herman's death in 2002. Anne enjoyed gardening, cooking and preserving, fishing, wild berry picking, wild-ricing, traveling and socializing. The coffee pot was always on. Anne's last years were spent in the state of Washington with her son and 2 grandsons, her last home being the Liberty Country Place where she passed away Sept. 20, 2008 at the age of 103 years.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, her son, Eldon in 2004, her sister, Elsie Hanson, brothers, Einar, Albin, Ernest, and Helmer Olson, one stepdaughter, Karen Anderson, one step grandson, and two step great grandsons. Anne is survived by her two grandsons, Andy (Melody) Grazin of Wyoming, Eric (Tina) Grazin of Washington, 2 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by stepchildren, Henry (Jerry) Anderson of Illinois, Sunny (Lloyd) Wilmer of Warroad, Buttons (Dean) Carlson of Bemidj, Merton (Carole) Anderson of Ohio, 15 step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Anne was a jolly, happy, caring. person and will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Fri., July 9th 2010, at the Pilgrim Congregational Church in Williams MN to celebrate Anne's long, dedicated and productive life.
