Life Sketch of Long Time Resident of Zanesville
Zanesville, Ind., Jun 23 - Laura Hamitlon, daughter of Abraham and Margret(sic) Keplinger, was born Nov. 26, 1851, in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, and at the age of about two years she came with her parents to Indiana, where she spent the remainder of her life.
She was united in marriage to Michael Hamilton March 31, 1870. To this union were born nine children, four of which preceded her to that land to which no traveler doth return.
She was converted at the age of sixteen and joined the United Brethren church and lived that beautiful life which, only exemplified the life of her saviour, whom she loved so much. Mother Hamilton, at age of 64 years, 6 months and 22 days, bid us adieu, leaving to mourn their loss a husband, five children, Dora Diffendorfer, Adam, Minnie Chaney, Carl and Lula Weaver, of Huntington; three brothers, three sisters, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The funeral services were held at the United Brethren church at this place Thusday afternoon at 2:30. Rev. Sherrel officiating.
