Margaret M. "Peg" Rathnow, 82, Decatur, Illinois, formerly of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at 4:40pm in St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, Illinois
She was born February 13, 1928 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Edward C. and Magdalene (Wagner) Timm. On July 15, 1949 in Michigan City, Indiana she married Stanley Rathnow, who preceded her on August 2, 1984.
Surviving are Son, Stephen (Cheryl) Rathnow of Decatur, IL; Daughter, Cynthia (Fred) Rice of Monroe, WI; 8 Grandchildren, Greg, Andrew, Lindsay, and Alison Rathnow; Gretchen (Nick) Gorup, Jacob (Megan) Rice, Jordan Rice, Brittany (Tom) Mallory; 7 Great-Grandchildren, Paige, Hayley and Madeline Gorup, Jude and Kylee Rice, Elijah and Pierson Mallory; Sister, Therese (William) Wing of Michigan City; Brother, Edward O. (Jeanne) Timm of Fort Wayne, IN;
She was preceded in death by Brother, Jerome Timm, DDS.
Mrs. Rathnow retired from Pullman Standard as an accounting clerk. She was a member of Queen of all Saint's Catholic Church, and Serra Club of Michigan City. Mrs. Rathnow also did volunteer work at the Marquette Foundation, and enjoyed Crocheting Afghans.
