Born in Winchester, Presently Grasonville , MD on August 30, 1909 , She was the daughter of the Late Benjamin Franklin and Vivian Smith. She attended school at Perry's Corner, Grasonville. on September 21, 1935 she married Benjamin Austin, who predeceased her in 1966. She was a homemaker and an active member of Calvary united Methodist Church in Queenstown.
Mrs. Austin is survived by a son, Carlton Austin and his wife Phyllis; two grandsons , Kevin Austin of Chester and Steven Austin of California; one Great grandson, Brandon Austin and a sister, Lone Gise. She was pre-deceased by a son Carl Austin, two brothers, Henry Smith and wilbur Smith; and a sister, Catherine Walter.
Funeral Service will be held on Monday, September 22, 2002 at 11 AM at calvary United Methodist Church in Queenstown. Family and friends may call at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home in Chester on Sunday, Septmber 22, 2002 feom 6 to 8 PM.
Interment will be at Stevensvill Cemetery, Stevensville, MD.
Memorial donations may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 7, Queenstown, MD.
