Mrs. Anna Jane Stimpson, widow of Charles Henry Stimpson, died at her home, 429 Franklin Street, Portsmouth, yesterday at 7:45 a.m. after a long illness.
A native of Grand Falls, New Brunswick County, Canada. Mrs. Stimpson was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Simpson. She had lived in this section for a number of years and attended St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth.
Surviving her are a daughter, Miss Mary Stimpson, of Portsmouth, and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, Jackson and Jefferson street, South Norfolk, where funeral services will be conducted privately tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Berkley, and also will be private.
Friends were asked to omit flowers.

Mrs. Anna J. Stimpson - Funeral services for Mrs. Stimpson, who died Monday in Portsmouth, were conducted yesterday at 10:30 a.m. at the Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk, by the Rev. R.H. Jackson, rector of St. John's Episcopal Church, Portsmouth. Pallbearers were Dr. G.W. Simpson, Simpson S. Cobb, Sr., Simpson S. Cobb, Jr., Ivy B. Brown, Jr., Nelson Brown and J.N. Scarborough. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.
