Bernice Rimes Bird, 82, died Wednesday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a short illness. The Bulloch County native was a homemaker and a member of Middleground Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Bird, Statesboro; two sons, Jerry Bird, Tampa, Fla., and Walter Bird, Statesboro; a sister, Melba Brannen, Statesboro; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at Middleground Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Michael Newman officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home.
