Rosabell Betts, 82, of Nevada, died of complications from Alzheimer's disease Saturday at Rolling Green Village in Nevada. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. Burial will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Rosabell Betts was born in Republican City, Nebraska, the daughter of Elvin J. "E. J." and Grace (Pearson) Helms. On August 30, 1932, she married John A. Betts in Phillipsburg, Kansas. She had worked in a restaurant during the 1960s and 1970s and was a home healthcare worker for Story County. She also was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, flowers and gardening. She was a member of the Nevada Seventh-day Adventist Church and a former member of the Dorcas Society, State Flowers and Garden Clubs, and the Religious Education Club.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Seger of Nevada, and Rosalea Friestad of Winner, South Dakota; and one granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and five sisters.

Visitation begins Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada. The family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to her church and the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
