Ethelyne Rumbaugh, 91, of Caldwell, died Saturday, November 19, 1994, at a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 25, 1994, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Pastor William A. Shepherd of Oregon Trail Church of God, Caldwell, and Rev. Ralph F. Adamson, chaplain at Caldwell Care Center, Caldwell, will officiate. Private burial will be at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.

Ethel was born February 13, 1903, in Mahaska, Kansas to Elvin Joseph and Grace Pearson Helms. She married Marion Dayton Rumbaugh on June 1, 1926, in Phillipsburg, Kansas. She was a housewife in that area until moving to Idaho in 1941. She worked at Crookham Seed Co. for about 20 years, in addition to being a housewife and mother.

Survivors include 4 daughters and sons-in-law, Nellie and Milton Vail of Boise; Elaine and Al Moore of Redmond, Oregon; Doris and Don Penner and Marietta Rumbaugh, all of Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Anita Rumbaugh of Caldwell; a son-in-law, Joe Lamb of Clearfield, Utah; 2 sisters, Doris Portenier, Phillipsburg, Kansas and Rosabelle Betts of Nevada, Iowa; 3 sisters-in-law, Verna Fister, Helen Norton of Phillipsburg, Kansas and Laura Helms of Rawlins, Wyoming; a brother-in-law, Charles Shannon of Pendleton, Oregon; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a close family friend, Judy Schinkel of Nampa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; her parents; a daughter, Martha Grace Lamb; 3 brothers, Wade, Russell and Joseph Helms; 3 sisters, June Shannon, Flora Martin and Norma Lee Helms.

The family suggests that memorials be made to a favorite charity.
