Nebr., was born May 22, 1926, on a farm
near Concordia, daughter of Hans and
Minda Olsen Jensen, and died at her home
in Red Cloud August 29,1962. She was 56.
She attended grade school at Fairview
School near Norway, Kansas and graduated
from Norway High School. She attended St.
Joseph School of Nursing in Concordia,
graduating as a registered nurse in June,
1947.
She was united in marriage to Provine
Green, November 21, 1947 in Concordia.
They spent several months in Seattle,
Wash., returning to the Concordia area in
1948, moving to Minneapolis in 1962. In 1967
they moved to Ord, Nebr., and to Red
Cloud in 1970.
She was baptized at the Christian
Church in Minneapolis in 1961.
She was preceded in death by her
parents.
She is survived by her husband,
Provine; three children: Joyce Green of
Hastings, Nebr., Jennifer Green of Ketchikan,
Alaska and Jeffrey Green of
Lincoln, Nebr.; one grandson, Jesse Green
of Lincoln, Nebr.; seven brothers and
sisters: Helen Larkins of Western, Nebr.,
Julius Jensen of Norway, Lawrence
Jensen and Rosie Sweat of Jamestown,
Ruth Chilcott of Kelso, Wash., Charles
Jensen of Concordia and Melvin Jensen of
Jamestown.
Funeral services were August 24 from
the Simonson-Williams Funeral Home
Chapel in Red Cloud, the Rev. E.E.
Cummings officiating. Interment was in
Fairview Cemetery near Norway with the
Rev. Arnold S. Krob officiating.
