Lawrence E. Miller, cherished husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away on November 5, 2010.

Born in Gove County, Kansas on the September 12, 1922, he married Elizabeth Balluch on July 28, 1940 and moved to the Treasure Valley and began a family. Lawrence grew up in the shop as a mechanic learning the trade from his Father. He embraced a vast array of knowledge in various trades in the many years that followed. Idle time was the one thing he knew nothing of and lived a full life.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, of 70 years; a son, Ron (Gwen) Miller; four grandchildren: Valdeen (Johnny) Swanson, Robert Johns, Shelly (Robert) Medley and Ashley (Sage) Potter; and five great-grandchildren, Kayla and Brandi Wurtz, Kyia, Jaylin and Corbyn Medley.

He was preceded by his daughter's passing, Croletta, in 1968.

Never has Family been so clearly defined as it has in the way you shared with us while here. A cycle has passed for you but as you embraced us all we relish in the lessons taught, experiences revealed, and the love shared. You will be thoroughly missed, but you will remain with us always, connected through blood and the life you have given us, in spirit for the guidance you instilled, and the wonderful memories each of us hold dear and collectively.

The family would like to give special thanks to Morene and Marshall of Legacy Hospice for the love and care they provided to Pa and our family.

Visitation will be held 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at Cloverdale Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm, at the Owyhee Cemetery in Nyssa, Oregon, with Military Honors by the United States Army.
